Makuira is born of the Serranía de la Makuira, the sacred highlands of northern Colombia where the trade winds blow in from the Caribbean and shape one of the most fascinating landscapes on the continent. There, the Wayuu people call Makuira the winds that bring rain, fertility and magic — blessings of nature that mould the land and the soul of those who inhabit it.

From that connection with the sacred and the natural comes our craft gin: a distillate that captures the botanical essence of Colombia, made with hand-selected native ingredients, high-purity cane alcohol and spring water from the Central Range of the Andes.

"Makuira es la bendición de los vientos; es el elixir de la vida; es el lugar en donde habita el espíritu de la naturaleza; es un territorio sagrado...""Makuira is the blessing of the winds; the elixir of life; the place where the spirit of nature dwells; a sacred land..."
